To my tea in its pot,
steaming upward t’ward running snot,
opening my nose to sweet, fresh air,
soothing sickness with loving care.
Why must you be all gone?
– Old, New or True
The time has come (the walrus said) to post another challenge. If you’re new to this game, that’s ok we only started last week! You can read about the first challenge here.
This week you have 15 mind-refreshing minutes to write an ode to something trivial. Tell me what is really making your day…a smile from a complete stranger, the hair clip keeping your fringe (bangs) out of your eyes, the retractable cable on your ID card that means you coast through corporate corridors pause-free… If we end up with a series of odes to coffee that would be perfectly understandable.
Brief recap of the rules:
1. Stick to the time limit, we want fresh uninhibited brain matter, not polished masterpieces.
2. Stick to the topic – it will be tempting to write an ode to something important, keep it trivial folks!
3. Don’t be shy, post your mini project in the comments – perhaps you, or someone else will be inspired by it another day.
